Aluminum–magnesium–manganese panels, also known as roofing and wall panels, are lightweight, corrosion‑resistant building materials primarily used for roofing and exterior wall cladding. They are fabricated from AA3003 or AA3004 aluminum alloys, or from 5052 marine‑grade and 6061 aerospace‑grade alloys, and feature a low density (2.73 g/cm³), resistance to acids and alkalis, and the ability to be bent and welded. Their surfaces can be finished with anodizing or paint coating.
The products are available in two finishes: natural‑color hammered texture and baked‑on paint. The hammered surface enhances panel stiffness and reduces light pollution, while the baked‑on finish typically employs a PVDF fluorocarbon coating. This material achieves structural waterproofing through an upright standing‑seam installation system, making it ideal for large public buildings such as airports and sports arenas, as well as for environments subject to severe wind, rain, and snow.
